Data Quality Notes: The response rate exceeded 99% by the end of the survey, with 15,054 out of the 15,066 targeted households successfully interviewed.

Summary: The EICV7 survey (Enquête Intégrale sur les Conditions de Vie des ménages) was conducted over a 12-month period, from October 2023 to October 2024. Data collection was organized into nine cycles, each comprising three sub-cycles, to capture seasonal variations in household consumption patterns. Both a main cross-sectional household survey and a VUP (Vision Umurenge Program) sample survey were carried out concurrently. The EICV7 VUP Survey targets households receiving benefits from the Vision 2020 Umurenge Program (VUP).

The VUP program includes the following seven components:

  1. Direct Support (DS)

  2. Nutrition-Sensitive Direct Support (NSDS)

  3. Classic Public Works (cPW)

  4. Expanded Public Works (ePW)

  5. Asset Transfers

  6. Financial Services (FS)

  7. Skills Development
